Kate, I think you could tell how much I loved the painting of Riley when you delivered it. I wanted to live with it a bit before writing you a note of thanks.

Everyone who sees it thinks it is fantastic. Riley had lots of fans so their praise is very meaningful. I love it because it is Riley, but I also love the painting itself - you have done an excellent job.

As was his habit in real life Riley always had a way of being front and centre. The painting just didn't work for me at the bottom of the stairs. I think that was because it was viewed side on most of the time. So despite my initial plans, Riley has moved into the living room which is where he should be and he has settled in quite nicely.
